Trong nhiều hệ thống enterprise và campus lớn, FortiGate 500E từng đóng vai trò là firewall NGFW chủ lực. Tuy nhiên, khi lưu lượng mã hóa tăng nhanh, ứng dụng cloud và hybrid IT mở rộng, yêu cầu về hiệu năng xử lý và vòng đời hỗ trợ ngày càng cao, các thế hệ firewall cũ dần không còn phù hợp cho vận hành dài hạn.

Fortinet FortiGate FG-700G-BDL-950-12 được thiết kế như giải pháp nâng cấp trọn gói cho doanh nghiệp đang vận hành FortiGate 500E, kết hợp phần cứng FortiGate 700G thế hệ mới với gói Unified Threat Protection (UTP) 1 năm, giúp hệ thống có đầy đủ lớp bảo mật ngay từ ngày đầu triển khai.

Thiết bị sử dụng kiến trúc SPU NP7 kết hợp CP10, cho phép offload các tác vụ nặng như IPS, SSL Inspection, Application Control và Threat Protection trực tiếp bằng phần cứng. Nhờ đó, FG-700G duy trì hiệu năng ổn định ngay cả khi bật đồng thời các tính năng bảo mật nâng cao trong gói UTP.

Về kết nối, FG-700G cung cấp cấu hình port đúng chuẩn enterprise core:
4 x 25G SFP28, 4 x 10GE SFP+, 16 x 1G SFP, 8 x 5G BASE-T RJ45, cùng 2 x RJ45 ports (HA 2.5G & MGMT 1G). Thiết kế này cho phép doanh nghiệp nâng cấp firewall mà không cần thay đổi lớn kiến trúc mạng hiện hữu.
